"I
don't have any grandiose illusions about being the saviour of the world,
but I hope that I can play a little part. I would rather be considered a
fool for thinking I can make a difference than for not doing anything "
- Brooke
Fraser, NEXT Magazine, December 06.

It's been a while... |
| 11 May 2006 |
Yes, it's been 3 months since this site was updated. But
no, it's not closing. I've been in America and unable to access the stuff I
need to update this site, but I'm back in NZ now, so will try and stay on
top of it.Some good news - Brooke is going to
be touring NZ and AUS again this year! From her official Myspace page...
"We'll be playing in the major centres in Australia again in AUGUST, this
time in theatres, so everyone should be able to come. We'll then be
returning to my homeland for a bigger, better national tour in October, with
more dates, more band members (the pre-requisite being that they must have
names beginning with B so as not to kill the vibe Ben, Beth and I have
going) and more pretty sets a la Goff."
At the moment I'm incredibly behind on the times, so
if anyone has anything to contribute to the site, please shoot me an email -

New Album Info |
| 8 July 2006 |
Thanks to the lady herself, here's some inside info on
the team members for Brookes upcoming album.....
Marshall (producer) has worked with lots
of artists, including one of Jay Z's favourite artists, a white soul guy
called Marc Broussard. Marshall has been an engineer, a signed artist AND up
until a few months ago was an A&R guy with Columbia as well as producing
records.
Joe Zook (engineer/mixer) has a website
(joezook.net) where you can see his credentials... he really is
extraordinary, and this album already supercedes the last one by heaps on
sounds alone. Rufus Wainwright, Jewel, Counting Crows, Liz Phair, the Googoo
Dolls, Pink, Modest Mouse are amongst his credits.
KRISTOPHER POOLEY (organs, things with keys)
- Jane's Addiction, Gwen Stefani, Liz Phair, currently MDing for Nick Lachey
(ha!), and also plays on lots of worship stuff (vineyard).
DAVID LEVITA (guitars) - Alanis
Morrisette, Lionel Richie, Shakira, Jewel
MICHAEL CHAVES (guitars) - John Mayer,
Sarah McLachlan, Low Millions, and he's joining Five for Fighting this fall
(spring for us)
SEAN HURLEY (bass) - Vertical Horizon,
Thicke, Richard Marx
AARON STERLING (drums) - Liz Phair, Ben
Taylor, Carly Simon, Brenton Brown, Mike Busbee (last two are legendary
worship guys). So there ya go. Quite an album it
will be! |
Brooke records new album in Los Angeles |
| 27 June 2006 |
Just a small update on what Brookes up to - after re-visiting Rwanda, she is currently
recording her new album in LA, at Track Record with producer Marshall Altman. The album will be out by
the end of the year, though it doesn't sound like there is a definite
release date. |
